The definition of a MC in a word is Donald D. A mighty Zulu Nation member, a B Boy and Hip Hop icon, Donald D has set the standard for all B Boys. Growing up in the South Bronx, Donald Lamont started as a guest host MC for Afrika Islam on W.H.B.I in New York. Hosting lyrical styles with rhyme style story telling, Donald D appeared on DJ Chuck Chill Outs “Rock the house Yall” for Kiss FM. Donald D also collaborated with the rap group B Boys with Brother B threw Vintertainment. His work and contributions were admired by industry majors such as Warner Bros, and rap artist Ice T. Rhyme Syndicate released Donald’s 1st solo album Notorious. With Epic as a major backer Notorious had singles such as F.B.I. and Let the Horns Blow, He also had a follow up single I’m Gonna Smoke Em on the Trespass soundtrack.
Donald still remains busy appearing at B Boy summits, NAACP celebrity benefits and receiving awards for best leadership. Donald D has also produced music in featured films such as RICOCHET, TRESPASS, NEW JACK CITY, and RHYME & REASON. He also produced music for Television and video games.
This man of many talents has a STREET TEAM RADIO SHOW that is broadcast throughout the world.
Examples: WHBI (NEW YORK), POWER 106 (LOS ANGELES), INTER FM (JAPAN) and CONTRO RADIO (ITALY).
He is now the CEO of his company STREET TEAM ENTERTAINMENT which is making moves in the Music & Film Industry.
Donald-D will be releasing a new album titled THIS IS HIP HOP, On Crown Urban Records.
