For those of you who know him, his name speaks for itself. For those of you who will get to know him, you are in for a cultural experience. From his background to his everyday life, Mike represents all he believes in and shares it with others through the language of music. Born in Harlem NYC, date left unknown...he brings the NY attitude and skills to the German Hip-Hop scene. Starting in 1977, when Hip-Hop was still rare to most of today’s fans, he built his style and “ways” in NY till 1980 moving down South and eventually ending up in Germany in 1982. The chance to perform with his cousin Kurtis Blow sent him on tour, and in 1995 he had his first release named “Da Homelanders, 4 Rotations”, with Public Attack also known as the Ultimate Hip-Hop label. Da Homelanders went on to win first prize in “The Sound of Fashion- Newcomerwettbewerb” for C&A and was featured on VIVA’s World Cup. In 1997 Mike started working on something new (always). Mike and another music-lover came up with another idea with Lions Den. They created an independent label called Lions Den Records. Mike and his Lions Den family came out on April 14, 2000 with One Love the universal language of Hip-Hop Vol.1 with a low budget. The Hip-Hop movement still moves on! In between time, Mike bounces from club to club, city to city, sharing his love for music to all. In late 2000 Mike brakes away from the Lions Den family and one of his best MC brakes with him (E.V.L.). Mike also connects with one of his old Hip-Hop pals Blabbwona aka Wonablabb and created the Foreign Natives. The Foreign Natives have perform there unique sounds in Opium in Frankfurt/Main, Bashline Disco in Madrid (Spain). So the story goes on and Hip Hop lives on.
